I-Optimal Designs in STATISTICA, Minitab, and JMP

Opening an I-Optimal design in your software can be a challenge unless you know a very simple trick. This trick works with most DOE software packages and you will learn it in a minute! But first, let's take a quick look at how you can get an I-Optimal design to begin with.

The I-Optimal Design Assistant is an on-line tool for finding I-Optimal designs in a library. You specify your factor names, low and high levels, and the Assistant will find the design you need. (If your design doesn't exist in the library, you can have a custom design created for you.) You will want to save your design on your Desktop to make your life easier.

If you created a Desktop icon when you installed your DOE software, great! If not, you will need to create one.

To open your design, simply drag your design icon on top of your software icon and drop it. Your software will open and your design will be imported.

Unfortunately, this may not work if you have a network license. However, you can always drag a file onto your open software and drop it to accomplish the same thing.

Good luck!
